Fiorentino di nascita, Alberto Desirò è fotografo, direttore artistico e curatore indipendente, con oltre vent’anni di esperienza nella direzione artistica, nella produzione fotografica e video e nella curatela di eventi culturali. Ha fondato nel 2011 AD Gallery, spazio dedicato alla fotografia contemporanea con sede a Firenze, e nel 2017 l’ADG Photo Contest, premio internazionale rivolto a fotografi e artisti emergenti. Ha curato numerose mostre collettive, tra cui “IN-PERFEZIONE” (Prato, 2025), “IO, FRAMMENTI” (Prato, 2024) e “MIRRORS”, tributo a Francesca Woodman (Prato, 2022), e ha collaborato con brand come Geox ed Ermenegildo Zegna. Nel suo percorso ha diretto la fotografia del DAP Festival di Pietrasanta e guidato progetti di comunicazione visiva e formazione professionale nel settore fotografico. Il suo lavoro si muove costantemente tra rigore tecnico e ricerca estetica, con l’obiettivo di contribuire a rendere Firenze un punto di riferimento per la fotografia contemporanea. Born in Florence, Alberto Desirò is a photographer, art director, and independent curator with over twenty years of experience in art direction, photo and video production, and the curation of cultural events. In 2011, he founded AD Gallery—a space dedicated to contemporary photography based in Florence—and in 2017, he launched the ADG Photo Contest, an international award for emerging photographers and artists. He has curated numerous group exhibitions, including “IN-PERFEZIONE” (Prato, 2025), “IO, FRAMMENTI” (Prato, 2024), and “MIRRORS” (a tribute to Francesca Woodman; Prato, 2022), and has collaborated with brands such as Geox and Ermenegildo Zegna. His career includes serving as photography director for the DAP Festival in Pietrasanta and leading visual communication and professional training projects within the photography sector. His work constantly balances technical precision with aesthetic exploration, aiming to help establish Florence as a key hub for contemporary photography. Alberto Desirò conceived and curates *imagina*, a platform for cultural events dedicated to the visual arts.
